Alison Hamilton B.Fin.Admin., C.A.

Alison originally joined Hancocks after completing her HSC and worked with the firm until she started her family. Alison continued to work part-time in the industry until 1995 when she returned to Hancocks as a Manager. Alison gained her tertiary qualifications via distance education from the University of New England. After successfully completing further study, Alison became a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) in September 2000. On 1st July, 2001 Alison became a Prinicpal of Hancocks Accountants Pty Ltd.

With many years of experience in her profession, Alison can assist her clients with small and medium sized business advisory, agribusiness, SMSF and personal tax and accounting. Deadlines are a fact of life. Alison focuses on her client’s needs to meet their statutory taxation deadlines as well as providing assistance with their accounting needs and legitimately minimising their taxation exposure.

Married to a local farmer and grazier, Alison has a strong connection to the land, and has an understanding of the many factors affecting people on the land. Outside work, Alison is an active member of her parish, St Nicholas’ and co-ordinates a regular ladies prayer group. Currently, Alison is the chair of the Armidale Diocesan Investment Group.

In her spare time Alison enjoys spending time with her husband and family, and trying to improve her golf score.

Jocelyn Goodfellow

Jocelyn Goodfellow B.Fin.Admin., C.A.

 Jocelyn has worked as an Accountant since 1996 and returned from Sydney in 1999 to join Hancocks.

Jocelyn completed her Bachelor of Financial Administration at the University of New England, Armidale in 2003.   

After completing her CA Program Jocelyn was admitted as a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) in September 2005 and on 31st October 2011 became a Principal of Hancocks Accountants Pty Ltd.

Jocelyn has extensive experience in many software applications for Small to Medium Businesses and sees herself as a problem solver, ensuring the most efficient record-keeping system is implemented for the client for both compliance and business management purposes.

In harmony with these systems, Jocelyn provides advice on the future business strategies and tax minimisation structures for her clients.

Jocelyn has volunteered her time and knowledge for the benefit of a number of not-for-profit organisations including Quirindi Show Society Inc, Kootingal & District PreSchool Inc., Moonbi Public School P & C and most recently the Calrossy Anglican School P & F.

Jocelyn is also an active member of CAANZ, representing the North-West Committee, the Rural and Regional Advocacy Committee, and the New South Wales Council.

Luke Charlesworth

Director

Luke Charlesworth B.Com., C.A

Luke commenced his career in accounting in 2003, and quickly learnt the importance of adding value – both to his client’s businesses, as well as to the team around him.

To provide value, Luke understands it is vital to maintain the appropriate level of qualifications and training required to keep pace with the accounting industry. Obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce degree, being a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, as well as ongoing formal and informal training, allowing Luke to stay informed of the always-present industry and legislative changes.

Luke’s passion is to build a high performing team founded on an amazing culture. This team will enable Hancocks to provide the “win” moments that their advisory and compliance clients need.

Out of the office, Luke spends his time with his wife and three children, with horses and motorbikes being the hobbies of choice for the family of five.
